Our purpose is to help all students be successful at the University of Northern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø.

We do that by enhancing and recognizing student learning and personal responsibility through:

  • Encouraging the positive growth and development of students
  • Helping in the resolution of student issues and concerns
  • Serving as an information and referral center for students and the campus community
  • Assisting student learning through values-centered accountability by administering the Student Code of Conduct and Registered Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct (Student Code) and Registered Student Organization Code of Conduct (RSO Code) outlines rights and responsibilities as members of the UNC community and establishes expectations of behavior to promote a safe and respectful living and learning environment.

RSO Code of Conduct

Effective August 1, 2024, the UNC Student Code of Conduct was revised in key areas.

These areas include:

  • Expanded options for informal resolution of alleged Misconduct, including:Ìý
    • Amnesty Education for students who seek medical assistance for themselves or others in emergency situations that result from alcohol and other drug abuse.Ìý
    • Mutual ResolutionÌý
    • Adaptable ResolutionÌý
  • The adoption of a standalone Code of Conduct for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), including:Ìý
    • More transparency in investigative procedures for RSOsÌý
    • Expanded options for informal resolution of alleged RSO MisconductÌý
