The Office of Admissions offers year-round campus tours for future students, their families and supporters, school groups, and counselors. Tour content is designed for future first-year and transfer students interested in undergraduate study on the Greeley campus, however, all are welcome to attend.

Fall Visit Days

Discover what it feels like to be a Bear! Join us for a full day of exploring UNC through the eyes of our students. Tour campus, experience interactive academic sessions, connect with faculty and current students, enjoy a free lunch, and learn about everything from financial aid and housing to student life and involvement. Whether you’re a high school senior or transfer student, this is your chance to picture your future at UNC, ask your questions, submit your application for free, and take home some exclusive UNC swag. Don’t just visit campus—experience it!

STEM & Health Visit Day

Explore the possibilities of a future in STEM or Health Sciences at UNC! Spend the day diving into hands-on learning through interactive demonstrations tailored to your interests, meet faculty and current students, and discover what sets our programs apart. You’ll also enjoy a free lunch, connect with admissions, financial aid and academic areas, and take a student-led tour to experience life on campus. Whether you’re just beginning to explore your options or narrowing down your college choice, this is your opportunity to imagine your future at UNC and see where your passion can take you.

Individual Daily Visit Options

In addition to Daily Information Sessions and Campus Tours held twice daily, Monday through Friday (with select Saturdays available), we also offer specialized sessions for transfer students, bilingual Spanish sessions and tours, and Be-A-Bear Fridays exclusively for admitted students.

We encourage all students and families to start by exploring custom campus visit options to make the most of your time on campus and in Greeley. Customizing your visit may include meeting with a faculty or staff member from a specific college or school, or exploring opportunities such as the UNC Honors Program.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

We offer Admissions Information Sessions and Campus Tours daily, Monday through Friday, with additional tours on select Saturdays throughout the year. Each visit includes a 30-minute University Overview and Admissions Presentation, followed by a 90-minute, student-led tour of our campus. During the tour, guests will visit a variety of spaces, including academic buildings, student life areas, and residence and dining facilities.

We offer special afternoon sessions designed specifically for transfer students with tours led by current transfer students. Attendees will experience a 30-minute Admissions Presentation tailored to the transfer student journey (students who have enrolled in college after completing high school) followed by a 90-minute walking tour led by a current UNC transfer student. The tour will highlight academic spaces, student life areas, and key resources. An optional stop at a residence hall will also be available. If you are unable to attend a transfer information session, we recommend a daily information session as a quality alternative.

UNC offers bilingual experiences to help you and your family feel at home.

  • Take a Spanish Campus Tour that includes an Admissions Presentation and guided walk through campus.
  • Attend the free ¡Adelante! UNC event offered twice yearly. The event content is delivered in Spanish and English, and offers a great opportunity to learn about admissions, explore financial aid, and often includes additional programming with campus partners.
  • Meet bilingual staff and students at a Cafecito event for personal support from Admissions, La Casita Cultural Center, and the First Generation Near Peer Program.

Customize Your Campus Visit

Make the most of your campus visit and tour experience by customizing your schedule upon registration. Schedule a time to connect with faculty or staff from across academic colleges and units. Explore your interests and get a closer look at campus life. We are excited to offer a growing number of customizable academic experiences.  Current options include:

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

When you choose this experience with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, you’ll have the chance to meet with a professor or an academic advisor from the program that interests you most. We offer appointments Monday through Friday.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

Choose the College of Natural and Health Sciences experience to attend and NHS Overview Session or meet with a faculty member from the program you’re most interested in (note: nursing students are strongly encouraged to schedule a visit with the school of Nursing.)

NHS Overview Sessions are now available Monday thru Friday through August 28! Faculty and advising center visits are available only on Mondays and Fridays.

 

School of NursingAttendees will have the opportunity to tour our classrooms, labs, and simulation suites and meet with a professor or program coordinator regarding the BSN nursing program. Offered on Wednesdays.

Explore the School of Art and Design

Choose this School of Art and Design experience to learn about our programs and tour creative spaces, including studios, digital media labs, fabrication and sculpture facilities, and UNC’s art galleries. Offered Monday through Thursday, you’ll also learn about scholarship opportunities and discover what it’s like to be part of our creative community.

School of Theatre Arts and Dance Tour

Explore UNC’s School of Theatre Arts and Dance in Frasier Hall. Guests will learn about theatre and dance programs, productions, auditions, scholarships, performances, and student life. The tour may include classrooms, rehearsal and production spaces, and the 520-seat Langworthy Theatre, with information about the application and audition process. Offered Monday through Thursday.

School of Music Tour

Discover UNC’s School of Music in Frasier Hall. Guests will learn about music degrees, ensembles, lessons, performances, auditions, scholarships, and student life while touring music spaces, including All-Steinway facilities and Studio A, UNC’s recording studio. The visit also covers the music application and audition process. Offered Monday through Thursday.

Performing Arts for Non-Majors

No matter your major, there’s a place for you in UNC’s arts community. This visit is for students who want to continue music, theatre, dance, art, or design without majoring in the arts. Guests will explore ensembles, productions, performances, exhibitions, intro courses, minors, and other ways to stay involved while pursuing another field. Guests may also see spaces such as studios, galleries, rehearsal rooms, venues, and recording spaces. Offered Monday through Thursday.

Experience the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences by meeting with faculty, learning about our programs, and discovering what makes our community special. Join us on select Mondays to take part in this opportunity.

Meet with an advisor at the Monfort College of Business to explore our business degree programs, student support services and professional experiences that help launch successful careers. Plan your visit on Mondays and Fridays to experience it firsthand.

Meet with a representative from the UNC Honors Program and learn more about our unique University Honors Program, First Year Honors Experience, and Honors Capstone. These sessions are offered Mondays and Fridays.

We host an increasing number of ongoing virtual events for a variety of audiences including students, families, school officials, and counselors across all stages of the admissions and enrollment process. Events and webinars provide valuable insights, helpful tips, community connections, and knowledgeable guidance to empower students and their support systems in navigating every step of the admissions and enrollment process. Group Visits

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

School officials, counselors and community-based organizations are invited to bring groups of up to 60 students for a 90-minute visit. During your time on campus, students will explore academic spaces, student life areas and key resources that support their college journey.

Group visits are not available for regular scheduling at this time. However, we may be able to accommodate limited requests for high school or transfer groups. If that applies to your group, feel free to reach out to us at groupvisits@unco.edu to explore options.

We’re planning to reopen fall scheduling in late August, so check back soon for updates. In the meantime, we’re always happy to help with any questions.
