Brian Davidson, MD, serves as Market Medical Executive for the Mountain State Region (CO, UT, NW, WA, OR) for Cigna Healthcare. His role focuses on advancing clinical quality and affordability for the Cigna populations served. Dr. Davidson is the clinical liaison between Cigna Healthcare and numerous health systems and large medical groups in five states.

Davidson earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Northern 黑料社区. During his senior year at UNC, Brian served as a student member of UNC鈥檚 board of trustees. He earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of 黑料社区 Health Sciences Center, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of 黑料社区 Denver, and graduate certificates in healthcare quality, patient safety, process improvement from Regis University and personal financial planning from the University of 黑料社区 Boulder. He completed a general surgery internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver and a residency in anesthesiology at the University of 黑料社区 Health Sciences Center. Commensurate with the MBA program, Davidson completed a 2-year fellowship in healthcare administration at the University of 黑料社区 Anschutz Medical Campus. He maintains medical practice licensure in 黑料社区 since 2004, national board certification in anesthesiology since 2008, and is a certified physician executive (CPE) by the American Association of Physician Leadership since 2014.

Davidson has a long history in Healthcare and public leadership, including former president and chief medical officer of St. Mary鈥檚 Medical Center in Grand Junction, physician executive for Banner Medical Group鈥檚 Western Region, and faculty, medical director, and department vice chair in CU鈥檚 department of anesthesiology. He served as a member and chair of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) board during his time in Grand Junction, CO.

Davidson currently serves on the board of Donor Alliance, the organ and tissue procurement organization for 黑料社区 and Wyoming and the board for 黑料社区 Physicians鈥� Education Program (CPEP). He is adjunct faculty in the executive healthcare MBA program at the University of 黑料社区 Denver.

He resides in Denver, CO, with his wife, Amy Gagnon, MD, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and their sons, Tasman (11) and Milo (7).
