Dick Monfort is the Owner/Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Rockies Baseball Club. A ºÚÁÏÉçÇø native, Monfort and the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Rockies Ownership Group have established the club as a leading organization in the Rocky Mountain Region in both the sport and business of baseball.  A 1976 graduate of the University of Northern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, Dick has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management.
Dick was the 2008 recipient of the United Way of Weld County Humanitarian of the Year Award; an award his father Kenny Monfort, received twenty years earlier. Ongoing funding and endorsement for the Boys & Girls Clubs in Metro Denver and Weld County continues to be an important work. In 2012, the benevolent work continued by matching dollar for dollar on collected contributions for those ºÚÁÏÉçÇøans devastated by ºÚÁÏÉçÇø wildfires.
Monfort serves as Chairman of the University of Northern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Board of Trustees, Chairman, Board of Directors of University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Health, Chairman of the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Economic Development Commission, and on the Denver Zoo Board. In May of 2012, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø State University President Tony Frank awarded the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, [Honoris Causa], to Dick in recognition of his significant contributions to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, industry, and higher education.
The Monfort Family also supports the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø and the Monfort Excellence Fund at ºÚÁÏÉçÇø State University. Both of which have tremendous impact on students, faculty and the Northern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø community through scholarships for exceptional students and support of outstanding faculty.
Dick has three children: daughter Lyndsey, son-in-law Aaron Graber, and sons Walker and Sterling.
