Biography
Dr.听Jessica Jessee has taught for the English Department at UNC for eight years,听joining听as听full-time faculty听in Writing Studies two years ago. Jessica earned her doctorate in English (19th-century American Literature) from the University of Kansas in 2014.听She听regularly teaches College Composition and听Writing听and听Research Methods, but has also taught Introductions听to Literature,听Poetry,听and听Creative Non-Fiction,听as well as听surveys in 19th and 20th century American and British Literature.听Prior to joining UNC,听Jessica听taught for听University of Kansas, Front Range Community College, and Aims Community College, with a total of听nearly twenty听years teaching college English.听Conference presentations include Modern听Language听Association听and听Society for the Study of American Women Writers,听and publications include听articles in听The Emily Dickinson Journal听and听All Things Dickinson: An Encyclopedia of Emily Dickinson鈥檚 World.听
