Biography

I enjoy spending time with my family (husband, 2 cats, and puppy). We particularly love camping, off-roading, fishing, mountain biking and disc golfing. WhenÌýI’mÌýnot with my family, I love writing, producing, and playing music with my main instrument being guitar. I hope to get back into being in a band after I graduate.Ìý

Education

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After a brief 2-year position working in a substance use research clinic at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, I moved to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø for my PhD in counseling psychology. Currently, I have completed my non-termination master’s degree in counseling psychology from ºÚÁÏÉçÇø StateÌýUniversity and am working towards my PhD. During my time in graduateÌýschoolÌýI have worked in university counseling centers, a community mental health clinic, and an adolescent inpatient unit.Ìý

As an advanced practicum student at the counseling center, I offer individual, couples and group psychotherapy. I also help with drop-in appointments.Ìý

I use an integrative approach of several evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, interpersonal process therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment Therapy. IÌýenjoyingÌýmeeting my clients where they are at, using tools that make sense to them, instilling hope for change, and encouraging them to grow.Ìý
