Until Everyone Can Read: A Pledge of Solidarity
Join the UNC community for an interactive art installation supporting dyslexia awareness and the importance of literacy for all.
Participants will help create Until Everyone Can Read: A Pledge of Solidarity, an outdoor installation featuring 50 posters with portraits of individuals who have signed a pledge supporting the goal of ensuring everyone has the opportunity to read.
The project is part of the Inside Out Project, a global participatory art initiative that uses large-scale portraits to bring attention to important community issues.
Date: Saturday, Oct. 10
Time: 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Location: McKee Hall Breezeway, between the lecture halls and the main McKee Hall building
Get Involved
UNC students, faculty and staff are invited to participate. Help install the posters, learn more about dyslexia awareness and connect with members of the UNC community. No experience is needed—just bring yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy!
A biodegradable paste made from water, sugar and flour will be used to install the posters on the ground.
Pizza from Roma will be provided!
