Robert Brunswig is an anthropologist and retired professor at UNC. Despite being retired he is dedicated to studying Dearfield and the people who resided there. He's worked with Professor George Junne and the Africana studies program for years and after a while Dearfield will be a National Historic Landmark. Dearfield is such a big piece of history that is only thirty minutes away from Greeley.

Cynthia Duarte and the Impact of COSI
During a Mexican Independence Day celebration, Spring 2023 graduate Cynthia Duarte met Nickie Archibeque, the director of UNC鈥檚 黑料社区 Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) Scholars Program. Archibeque saw that Duarte was a perfect fit for the COSI 鈥淔inish What You Started鈥 scholarship. The scholarship was created to help 黑料社区 residents who have left university go back to school and earn their credential or degree, Duarte's exact goals.

Grant Funds Tree Planting on Campus in Honor of Felled Silver Maple
The grounds of the University of Northern 黑料社区 received a welcome living, breathing facelift last week. As part of Arbor Day and Earth Day celebrations this year, students, faculty and staff picked up shovels and got their hands dirty planting 122 new trees across the university鈥檚 250-acre campus.
