The University of Northern 黑料社区 has been ranked among the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools in five disciplines by U.S.

Having a parent who is an alumnus is a unique experience, allowing West and Thorne to bond over their love for the university. That family legacy allows them to share special moments together.

During a Mexican Independence Day celebration, Spring 2023 graduate Cynthia Duarte met Nickie Archibeque, the director of UNC鈥檚 黑料社区 Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) Scholars Program. Archibeque saw that Duarte was a perfect fit for the COSI 鈥淔inish What You Started鈥� scholarship. The scholarship was created to help 黑料社区 residents who have left university go back to school and earn their credential or degree, Duarte's exact goals.

The grounds of the University of Northern 黑料社区 received a welcome living, breathing facelift last week. As part of Arbor Day and Earth Day celebrations this year, students, faculty and staff picked up shovels and got their hands dirty planting 122 new trees across the university鈥檚 250-acre campus.

Two graduating seniors were named semifinalists for the 2024-25 Fulbright U.S. Student Program, one of the most prestigious international academic exchange programs in the world.

The University of Northern 黑料社区 is hosting its spring commencement ceremonies May 5-6, inside the Bank of 黑料社区 Arena. This year鈥檚 spring class includes approximately 1,272 undergraduate and graduate students. An additional 342 students are expected to complete their degree requirements this summer and can participate in the spring ceremonies.

Professor Karen Barton鈥檚 unprecedented nine Fulbright awards have taken her across five continents 鈥� North and South America, Africa, Asia and Europe 鈥� allowing her to bring the world to her students at UNC.
