    It鈥檚 an easy habit to fall into. While watching TV or folding laundry, it鈥檚 almost second nature for many to pick up their phone, browse a retail site and before they know it, they鈥檝e clicked 鈥榩urchase鈥 multiple times. This became especially popular during the beginning of the pandemic when many were staying at home. Though online shopping is convenient, it can also be costly.

    UNC was selected in a highly competitive grant process, as a recipient of a $850,000 黑料社区 Scholarship Opportunity Initiative (COSI) Back to Work grant. The funding will provide new career paths for workers displaced by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic while also addressing the need for teachers in 黑料社区鈥檚 classrooms.

    This August, the Bears are back to school in a big way. There are many on-campus events planned, and UNC has partnered with Greeley to paint the town blue and gold, with 鈥淭his is Bear Country鈥 signs appearing in yards and at businesses throughout the area.

    The National Park Service鈥檚 African American Civil Rights Grant Program recently awarded the University of Northern 黑料社区 $497,776 to help fund rehabilitation efforts at the African American townsite of Dearfield.

    This fall, as students return to campus and take time to explore Greeley, they鈥檒l know they鈥檙e in Bear country just driving into town. The university community and Greeley business owners are ready to welcome them back with lots of Blue and Gold, and a flurry of signs that say, 鈥淭his is Bear Country.鈥
