Sport Coaching Kicks Off

Launching in summer 2026, UNC鈥檚 15-credit graduate certificate in Sport Coaching (online) equips educator-coaches and youth sport leaders with cutting-edge principles in psychology, training, administration, and technology鈥攁ll aligned with nationally accredited standards

Wellness & Performance Backed by Science

At UNC鈥檚 KiND community, students and faculty unite under one mission: to uncover how movement (kinesiology) and nutrition work together to power health and performance. Born from the recent merger of Sport & Exercise Science and Nutrition & Dietetics, this collaborative environment encourages creative, hands-on learning鈥攗sing real-world tools like metabolic carts and body composition labs to explore how fuel and muscle interact.

Kinesiology Programs

Explore the science of human movement and physical activity, including the physiological, biomechanical, psychological, and sociological aspects of exercise and sports, or gain the knowledge and skills to teach Physical Education effectively from K鈥12.
