With over 25 different music ensembles, we have a spot for almost every musical interest and ability level. School of Music ensembles are open to UNC students of all majors. Some groups require an audition, and some are open to everyone. Join us and make music!

Our band program has a strong tradition of excellence with the UNC Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Pride of the Rockies Marching Band.

You’ll have many opportunities to play chamber music in your area of study. Plus we have several small ensembles for different styles and instrument groups that will give you a unique collaborative musical experience.

We encourage all UNC students who love to sing to audition for our active and nationally performing choirs. From concert and chamber choir to choirs based on voice type, there’s a place for everyone!

UNC Opera Theatre prepares you for a career in opera through professional-quality productions and specialized classes. You’ll develop as a singer or director, gain skills as an educator and bring opera to diverse audiences.
