Trotter House is a small, tight-knit community that about 12 UNC Bears call home.

Located just across from Frasier Hall on the north side of campus, it鈥檚 the perfect spot for students who want a homey vibe with the convenience of campus living.

Set up like a large house, Trotter offers:

  • A shared living room to binge your favorite shows
  • A full kitchen where you and your housemates can cook and hang out

8 bedrooms with standard twin beds, 3-1/2 bathrooms, dining area, living room, and kitchen. Amenities include a microwave, and a washer and dryer.

Get comfy in a bed that fits your style鈥攁nd your storage needs!

Each room comes with:

  • A twin (regular) size adjustable-height bed
  • A dual-firmness mattress鈥攃hoose between firm or extra firm by flipping it over
  • Bed dimensions: approx. 80.5鈥� long x 41鈥� wide x 37鈥� high

You can choose from three different height settings to match your storage preferences.

Setting Clearance Under Bed:

  • Low (or bunked) 8 inches
  • Middle (default) 21 inches
  • High 31 inches

Beds are usually set to the middle height at move-in to give you a balance of under-bed storage and easy access.

You鈥檙e welcome to bunk or un-bunk your bed after move-in.

You鈥檒l have your own space to study, create, and focus.

Every resident gets a desk and a two-position chair. The desks are approximately 42鈥� wide by 24鈥� deep and 30鈥� high.

Plenty of room for your laptop, books, and a few personal touches.

What鈥檚 Provided

Bedrooms in Trotter House do not come with a refrigerator or microwave, but the house has a full kitchen, including fridges, microwave, stove, and oven.

Coordinate with Roommates

To avoid doubles, talk with your roommate(s) about who鈥檚 bringing what before move-in.

Want a hassle-free option?

Consider renting a MicroFridge (combined microwave + mini fridge) through the Residence Hall Association鈥攅asy, convenient, and move-in ready.
